Megan Heller is a Michigan-based contemporary illustrator. The mediums she uses are acrylic, colored pencil, and Photoshop for editing. A few artists that she admires are James Jean, Gustav Klimt, and Dave McKean. With an emphasis on the female figure, her work focuses on icons from popular culture. Movies, music, and comic books are what ignite inspiration for her imagination. She creates images not only because it fulfills her, but to pay tribute to her inspirations, and also to inspire other artists and her audience. Her work has been shown at Black Box Gallery’s Fantasy Exhibition in Dearborn, as well as exhibitions in Detroit, and her hometown of Saginaw.
