Professional Experience

Sculptor and alumnus Heather Anger (’05 fine art w/ honors) brings over 14 years experience in global automotive design and development to the College for Creative Studies. She has previously worked in academic and corporate institutions, both as a mentor and educator. In 2021, Anger accepted the full-time position of Clay Model Coordinator for the Transportation Design Department. In this capacity, she works very closely with sponsored-studio faculty and their students. In addition to her work as an industrial clay sculptor, Anger is also a figurative sculptor. She was a merit scholarship recipient at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, where she received her MFA in 2010. In 2017, she founded The Figure Club of Detroit, a group made up of working professionals and industry sculptors who come together to sculpt live models from direct observation.
