View some of David Flaugher‘s work

David Flaugher takes objects of American recreation, leisure, and celebration and couples them with materials of capitalist refuse. Often employing humor and pathos within the same breath, his work strikes a poignant and timely cord in an increasingly precarious era of economic and political upheaval.

David Flaugher received his BFA from the College for Creative Studies in 2008, attended the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture in 2010, and received his MFA from New York University in 2013. This year, his work will be featured at And Now in Dallas, TX, at LOMEX in New York, NY and at the Museum of Modern Art Warsaw, where an installation of his was recently added to the museum’s permanent collection.
