Research interests include the contemporary sublime and the evolution of the visual event and the sublime experience.
Professional Experience
Bernadette received her MA in art history from Wayne State University in 2018, where she now teaches art history and art appreciation. In 2022, she was hired as adjunct faculty for the CCS liberal arts department. In 2020, she worked as an art instructor for two years at an Ann Arbor high school, teaching everything from studio art to ceramics. Her artistic focus is silversmithing, textiles, and printmaking. She is the co-creator of Critical Fantasy, a recycled fashion project that draws inspiration for its garments and jewelry from the inquisitive and imaginative nature of medieval illuminations.
