How CCS Students Kept Busy All Summer

Student internship placement over the summer exhibits the creative need global companies command with CCS students.

Every year companies from all over the world call on the creative genius of CCS students, placing them as interns. Whether it’s a fortune 500 company or a major metropolitan museum, a majority of students spend their summers offering ingenuity and vision far and wide.

Here is a sampling of some of those placements from this past summer:


Agencies 

Advertising senior Ethan Pestano worked with Anomaly New York this summer. Anomaly is a “New Model” agency with locations in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Shanghai

Communication Design senior Veronica LeTourneau worked with AHOY Studios, a graphic design firm in New York, Zurich and Berlin.

Entertainment Arts junior Ben Focht worked with Comet Interactive, a Michigan-based video content agency.

Interior Design juniors Brooke Zeolla and Alexis Friedman interned with Rossetti, a multidisciplinary practice focused on architecture, interior design, graphic design, and urban planning. 


Automotive 

Transportation Design second-year graduate student, Ali Shoghimojarad, worked with 3M Automotive—an automotive company that has been using science and innovation for over 100 years to create products that are easy to use and affordable.

Transportation Design sophomore’s Bonifacio Duller and Dexter Pomilban and senior Fabrizio Orsidepaula worked with General Motors (GM), an American automotive multinational corporation headquartered in Detroit, Michigan. 


Fashion

Fashion Accessories Design senior’s Bradley Cannon and Ava Kaloustian worked with Coach as apprentices. Coach is an American Luxury brand that specializes in handbags, luggage and accessories.


Food

Photography junior’s Anna Huettman and Katie Geralach worked with Whole Cities/Whole Foods. Whole Foods is an American supermarket chain known for its organic selections. 


Footwear

Product Design senior Dong “Tony” Zhong worked with Nike, a multinational corporation that designs, develops and manufactures footwear, apparel and accessories. Junior Vidit Singh worked with Adidas, the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe, and the second-largest in the world after Nike.

Product Design junior Eva Zhakoroskas and second-year Colors and Materials Design graduate student Mahsa Banadaki interned with Puma. Puma is also a multinational corporation that designs and manufactures athletic and casual footwear, apparel and accessories. It’s also the third-largest sportswear manufacturer—after Nike and Adidas.


Tech

First-year Interaction Design graduate student Wesley Woo worked at Ubicquia, a tech company in Phoenix, Arizona engineered with a balance of innovation, dedication and fun.

The Career Development Office can help assist students and alumni with professional development opportunities and resources that aid in identifying and reaching their career goals. The office assists in resume development, cover letter preparation, interview skills and job search techniques.
