September 15 – October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month! This month is to honor and celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of the Hispanic and Latinx communities. The origin of Hispanic Heritage Month started in 1968 under President Lyndon Johnson and expanded to cover an entire month in 1988 and was enacted into law on August 17, 1988.

Brett Refner (‘08 Graphic Design) and his team at BlueCadet, an NYC and Philadelphia-based experience design agency, worked on an Augmented Reality (AR) project to enhance the museum experience at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan—all while never leaving the users pocket. The project won them a highly coveted Communication Arts Award in the Interactive/Mobile/Tablet/Education category.
