
Fall 2025 Orientation
To best prepare you for CCS, New Student Orientation provides you with the information you need to know before coming to campus.
New students will complete Pre-Orientation prior to the in-person New Student Orientation. You will be notified via email in August 2025 when Pre-Orientation launches.
New Student Orientation will take place in-person on Monday, August 25, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET on the CCS campus.
Pre-Orientation and New Student Orientation are mandatory for all new, incoming students (first-time, transfer and international students). More information can be found in the following dropdown menus.

Pre-Orientation
Pre-Orientation provides an introduction to CCS and all it has to offer. Pre-Orientation is exclusively online, featuring video presentations that guide you through important topics like financial aid, campus technology, safety, and more—all at your own pace.
Pre-Orientation modules must be completed before New Student Orientation. You will be notified via email when Pre-Orientation is available.

International Student Check-In

Meet other CCS students and get settled into life on campus! International students will complete Pre-Orientation and attend both International Orientation and New Student Orientation. Our staff will work with you to ease your transition to CCS. More details will be shared through email as the date draws near. Plan to bring your I-20 or DS-2019 Forms, visa and passport.
Airport & Entry Information
Booking your flights? We recommend DTW, Detroit Metropolitan Airport, usually called “Metro Airport” or “DTW.” This is a major international airport located outside the city.
Pre-Departure PDF Guide
As a new student, you will have a pre-departure guide prepared for you. This useful reference will be emailed to you to help you plan for your move to Detroit. This document will be mailed to you ahead of your travel to CCS.
Introduction to International Student Resources
What: The Peacock Pride portal will provide an ‘Introduction to International Student Resources’ tutorial. Please review this online tutorial before coming to CCS.
