A diversity of cultures, ideas, points of view, and methods of creative expression form an integral and essential element of the educational experience. The College for Creative Studies is a nonprofit, private college authorized by the Michigan Education Department to grant Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. CCS is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Deadlines

International applicants are recommended to submit their applications by the individual degree level early action or priority application deadlines. Please see the final application deadline for all international applicants is below:

International Application Final Deadline is April 1, 2025

CCS Scholarships and Financial Aid Resources

We strongly encourage applying by the priority deadline to be considered for the highest amount of scholarships available.

Undergraduate Early Action Deadline*: December 1, 2024

Graduate Priority Deadline*: January 15, 2025

*For Fall 2025 start term


CCS Merit Scholarships

Applicants to CCS are automatically considered for CCS Scholarships once they complete their admissions requirements. Awards are based on the portfolio, academic achievement and any other required materials and can vary from student to student during the admission process.

Undergraduate Scholarships
$22,000 USD (per academic year)
Average CCS Scholarship for incoming international BFA students who began their studies during the 2021 – 2022 academic year


Graduate Scholarships

100% of incoming international graduate students in fall 2021 received a CCS Scholarship (up to $24,000 USD per academic year.)

$20,000 – $25,000* USD (per academic year) – Range of CCS Scholarship funding available for incoming international graduate students *Based on the review of a completed application, submissions of materials, and selected program of study


 International Student Grant

New and returning international students are awarded $1,500 in the first semester of enrollment each academic year. To be eligible, a student must be a citizen of a foreign country (non-U.S. resident).

Additional Financial Aid Resources

U.S. Federal Financial Aid, including loans, grants and need-based aid, is not available for international students. Additional financial aid may be available through the resources provided below:

Private or Alternative Loans

Private or alternative loans are available to international students. Please visit finaid.org or edupass.org information on the alternative/private loan process and requirements. International students are encouraged to check for student scholarships, loans or grants within their home country before applying for alternative/private loans.
